Amman, Sept. 21 (Petra) -- Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) was at JD15.8 million on Monday, with 8.3 million shares changing hands through 6,227 transactions.

The general share price index fell 0.4 percent, closing at 4,098 points.

Of 112 companies on the index, 42 posted gains, 46 declined, compared with their previous closes, and the rest were unchanged.

By sector, the services index fell 0.86 percent, the industrial index fell 0.37 percent and the financial index was down 0.09 percent.
